Never had a 21st
Was an adult mortgage payer
Never had a 18th either
Funny but I love cake
I love gifts, surprises
Boxes in all shapes and sizes
I had a 27th, which was wild
Fast cars, nice meal
Organised my own 40th
Bowling alley bonanza
Grey and older nowadays
Wiser and well-rounded
This year I’m 21x2
21 years, gallons of beers
And many Christmas cheers
Has it been so long?
Must reward oneself
As no one else will

Well I must say I am impressed with your ability to please yourself since others will not. Yet it makes me think of how these extravagant parties are not necessary to bring one joy. Being that I recently celebrated my birthday at a catering hall, I am thankful for it, yet I know such things will nor completely satisfy me (Gods love does the job for me). Take care,
