A POEM IS A PICTURE — IN A WAY
A poem is a picture — in a way —
But it’s also a dream — or like a dream —
In a way a poem is what it wants
To be. Okay, a poem is a ghost. It haunts
You... So you read it or write it or say
It silently... Or you sing it sometimes —
It doesn’t really matter what it wants
Or needs. After all, it is a house. Rhymes
Are windows. Lines are doors. The title: a gate
To some Where — somewhere that is far away.

I agree completely; a poem is a picture, ghost, even a house! It is many things to many individuals. To some it is a response to reality and to others it is a refuge from life's troubles. Right here this poem is a wonderful write and very enjoyable to read,

Sometimes your capitalization distracts from the read...something to think about. (or not ;))Like the thought's here.
