I cannot say this will turn out pleasant
The day we once again meet face to face
After all we have never stayed in one place
During our time away which I thought was for the best
Perhaps your idea of separation didn't involved silent drama
Then again you believed we were inseparable; matched by fate
All the days we were together you considered yourself blessed
On top of the world you were and the luckiest man in it
And you never forgot it was I that inspired you to smile
Will we ever relive these precious moments
The ones that now bring tears to my sentimental eyes
Again I think about the moment we will reunite face to face
The time is near and I am ever so anxious as days pass by
We are now as Momaday description of the deer
Fearful to interact making little contact and ready to escape
Escape the reality of the present longing for the dream of our past

| An interesting concept this one, because it holds not just love, but also uncertainty in it. I especially liked the ending. |
