I can stand here for hours
in this garden of flowers
red,white,yellow and purple petals
emitting a fresh aroma at dawn.
I can stand here for hours
as birds twitter from cosy nests
to welcome a new day
witness to the paradise
that God designed the natural world to be;
I can stand here for hours
reminiscing on innocense of youth
joyful little games that we played
running and rolling in meadows
thoughts on perfect passion
we nurtured in our hearts;
I can stand here for hours
away from all the chaos
imperfect relations and treachery
fighting when humanity fail
to speak a common language of love.

Dear marsh,
WOW! A pastoral that is simply gorgeous -- enough -- by itself -- but then turns into a genuine world-wide statement -- pain -- pathos; a private poem -- remains so -- and at the same time gradually becomes unhesitatingly public. It is a prayer. Not less. -- flinthunter
