He covers his fears with a cloak of silence
as if the entire world itself has a blindfold
a blindfold blocking it from him
they can't see him and he can't see them
he keeps to his own
his world is perfect
but his world isn't really reality
his world is just a really vivid imagining
in his world his pictures talk
and hes not labeled as crazy when he
responds
his bestfriend is the man in the mirror
he doesn't listen much
but every word he hears becomes
cheers
he sleeps with his eyes open
and sees what goes unnoticed
to most it is
in his world
a crack in the ground leads to a new sky
each doorway is a hole to a new life
in his world....
in his world the good always survive
but his worlds a lie
his world only exists in his mind
he doesnt need help
he needs a sign
he needs a sign.

Ah yes! I too went through a period of depression which enclosed me in my own little world. Truthfully, I felt more of an urge to escape this than to keep to myself. It's great to know that you have been pulled out of such a state. As for your poem, I enjoyed reading it very much and believe we all can relate to it at some point in our lives. Take care and God bless,
Deidra |
