RECREATING A HAVEN

RECREATING A HAVEN

The real world is so painful
filled with endless struggles
in quest for victory;

Relations hurt
your shadow stabbed by loved ones
to provoke your ire
and test patience.

Write to create a haven
a splendid earth
so beautiful and colorful
filled with bliss endless joy.

Celebrate your thoughts
and feelings with lofty imagery
to counter the treachery
by trusted allies

Stain the pages
with tears of tenderness
seek perfect love away
from lust for material gain;

Strive to comprehend
all the chaos and madness
tragedies that visit us
making us human.

-MICHAEL MWANGI MACHARIA

Dear Marsh,

"Stain the pages
with tears of tenderness
seek perfect love away
from lust for material gain;"

These are magnificent words. Thank you for publishing them of us to read. Your point is well-taken: now if only more peoples of the world would take it... Can you imagine if people would write instead of fight?

Wow. This is great. Thank you for this response. This inspires me to write more.

"Celebrate your thoughts
and feelings with lofty imagery
to counter the treachery
by trusted allies" ---too true, this is what I mostly do.

Instead of fighting or confronting my enemies I air my feelings out through writing.

Keep on writing!
