I Wish I Was A Dreamer

I wish I was a dreamer
Life seems better with dreams
Not everything is as it seems
I wish I could just slip deep into thought
To become the big film star, leading guitarist, the lot
I wish I could take myself away from the world
Even just for one hour
I'd imagine myself with the most beautiful girl
But I know I can't, I just don't have the power
There's no escape route I have found
So I'll stay with my feet firmly on the ground
In my fate I have no say
I'll have to accept it day-by-day
Until the day I pass away.
