Knowing your just a friend.

I hate how my bluntness comes across serious
I hate the way you take it
I hate how you’re so sarcastic at times
I hate that we never waited.
At the start we told each other
That we didn’t want to get bored or jump ahead
Yet nothing, not fate could stop us
I will regret it till the day I’m dead.
I adore you as my one and only friend
I sort of love how we click too well
It’s amazing how I’ll talk to you
Because I think there’s no-one else to tell.
I could hold you in a hug for hours
A hug beyond any others
I could sit with you, and sleep beside you
For hours more than forever.
I love your cheeky little grin
And your eyes when your hyper
And I hate life and I hate fate
I wish and pray that I could be her.
I want to make you more than happy
I want to fill your heart with hope
I want us to get high of each other
Rather than tired and bored.
I wish so much it was that way
But I know inside that’s not how it ends
So I’ll just have to be quite content
Knowing you’re just a friend.
