The tooth faerie cometh

Topic: FamilyPoems

* * * *

First tooth is through for you-know-who.
Big gnasher for the grinner.
An extra sparkle to his smile
and T-bone steak for dinner.

Well maybe not - that needs a lot
but a single tooth gets lonely.
Till its fellow molars make the cut
he'll munch on mish-mash only.

He sits and waits and spies our plates,
pretends his ration's drab.
Behind those lamblike big brown eyes
he's planning smash and grab.

Too soon he'll crunch a Sunday lunch,
too soon a toddler be.
Too soon he'll flash those pearly whites
...... and show more teeth than me.

Good thing I have a Scottish background or I would not get some of your wording. LOL I just can't believe how great you are at the whole rhyming, rhythm, meaning AND comedy! Geez.
(standing ovation here)
