rainy window pain

Raindrops soothe the window pane
Forming drops that flow again,
descending linear tracks to base.
It is so cosy in this space.
Looking out as time drifts by,
Unlike the grey moist weeping sky
that sits on top in varying gloom.
A light is switched on in the room.
A car sweeps on, it’s rear lights shine
No fear of children on the line
For they’re upstairs, attached to screens
Living pixelated dreams.
Out of busy parents way
who sit downstairs tapping in play
On apps attached to ether space
achievement published on book face.
Both young and old they would be stuck
If by chance a power cut
occurred on one day such as this,
but it won’t happen, so they miss
the opportunity to speak,
except when choosing what to eat
From menu’s pinned on kitchen wall.
It is so good to have it all.
