God Denies Me Paradise

Contributed by mvvenkataraman on Saturday, 30th July 2011 @ 08:01:01 PM in AEST
Topic: ApologyPoetry

Dear God, let me be forgiven
I am not eligible for Heaven
As sins are by me done
And I have helped none

I see miseries on the Earth
But, I continue to have mirth
I am very selfish since birth
I have gifted nothing worth

When a child sadly cries
When Justice wrongly dies
Helping alone is truly wise
So I belong not to Paradise

Tiny ants died under my feet
I offered to old people no seat
Daily I failed to cheerfully greet
This without guilt I did repeat

I wasted carelessly precious water
I at times misused brain-computer
I was blind mentally in World-theater
Often my behavior was not softer

I have made pure food turn rotten
Weaker souls, I have also beaten
To offer help I have indeed forgotten
So now Hell is shown to threaten

I have spoken against my Mother
I have denied joy to my brother
I have created in minds bad weather
So my Heavenly chance does wither

I have failed to wipe off kindly tears
I have not supplied to souls cheers
I have instilled on minds great fears
So my Heavenly eligibility disappears

Deepest agonies I have created
Pure love of many I have cremated
So my going to Heaven is debated
I won's be by Angels surely sedated

Hopefully I will make rectification
And try hard using real dedication
And wait for the next occasion
To get in Heaven admission.
