NIGHT SKIES

like the night
filled with stars
filled with a night sky
hidden beneath the scars

you see bright lights
i see negative space
like a falling star
hope diminishes with haste

peace settles in
allowing me to think
showing me reality
happiness begins to sink

finding nothing to grasp
i fall into the night sky
forgetting about the lights
see nothing but a world of lies
