Trust

Contributed by Briddy_G on Wednesday, 20th July 2011 @ 12:15:57 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I once gave my trust
To someone I thought was a man.
But he was a boy
And he did not care for my heart.

Now I see men that I cannot trust
Because once upon a time,
A boy broke my heart.
They want my heart
More than I care to admit
But I won’t let them touch me
Without commitment.

But a boy once told me
That he loved me
And that he would never go away.
I am not afraid that they will go away
I am afraid that they will be liars
Just like the little boy.

So I stay away from men
And see only their crimes
Because all the good I saw
Was wrong every time.

I can no longer believe in love
Because it is not the same as trust.

I've noticed this is a common pattern throughout time
loosing something which can never be replaced
something some one conned out of you
It's sad in that sense
but It seems you have learned hold on to that cause it's just the begining
well written
