Fever soaks the brain
my soul is released
thoughts are so insane
they must come from the beast
I fall into a world
where marvels do exist
angelic hell unfurled
within an eerie mist
too tired to lose my temper
too gone to notice why
these thoughts are not remembered
In and out am I
a sweating rightful wrong
throughout I am exhausted
this torture lasts so long
repeats as if I’m ghosted
answer within my grasp
as I speak to my maker
Ringing hurts. I grasp,
wake up and shout “potato”
bright, alive & fresh
it's a beautiful day
apart from crusty tissues
all will be okay
I tap the ringing screen
oops! I just hit snooze
out cold in an instant
to somewhere I can't choose.

A wonderful description of fever it's almost as if you had the fever while writting this to depict it so well and metaphorically this piece was astounding I can appreciate the depth layers nicely conveyed
