Dear Mum,
When I look into your eyes, what do I see?
I see Beauty...
Your soft glance and the glisten in your eyes that make your beauty
As magnificent as the Eternity.
I see Love...
Love that is as pure as your soul and as true as your heart.
It never fails to instill in me the feeling that I'm nothing, but your part.
I see Hope...
A hope to create a better tomorrow.
A bright tomorrow, with no place for any sorrow.
I see your Dreams...
Dreams so strong, yet so fragile.
Things that give you your satisfied smile.
I see Faith...
Faith in the Universe and its ways.
Faith in the future to be full of blissful days.
I see Pain...
The pain of losing something so dear.
The pain in the smile that you smile, to hold back your tears.
I see Love, despite the Pain...
The love you shower, in spite of being hurt.
The love that you are so full of, in spite of bearing the burnt.
I see God...
Your wakeful eye for me, even when you are asleep.
The never ending concern you feel for me, even in your sleep.
When I look into your eyes, Mum, what do I see?
I see the endless sky, I see the boundless oceans,
I see tiny flower buds and also the mighty mountains
I see the lush valleys so green, the frosty peaks so cold;
For when I look into your eyes, My Mum,
I see a glimpse of my WHOLE WORLD...
