I can’t wait to go,
I don’t want to leave,
Please, this is all I know,
These hills are me,
See, there’s the schoolyard,
Where I stole, my first kiss,
There’s the cottage,
Homage, to wedded bliss,
And there’s the place,
Space, ‘twixt hillfort and sea,
That’s where I found,
Sweet clarity.
Now since time and life,
Seem distant from me,
I know I must go,
Grow, follow my dreams,
Swallow my pride,
Explore what’s inside,
‘cause what was once,
Ensconced, my gilded throne,
Has now become,
Sullen, sterile,
Unknown.
