I Stumble...I Run...
Through the misty veil of tears
separating your world from mine
My reflection disappears
as I retrace the crossed line
Backing away, I stumble
regaining my feet, I run
As the world behind me crumbles
with so much left undone
The wherefore & why I sought
still a pipe dream unknown
so uselessly for fought
& on the wind away blown
Too much did I reveal
on this fools errand for gold
through alchemy made deals
for what could not be sold
But learn, I did...as I cried
for what could never be
Letting the wish within me die
so that from it I'd be free...
