crash and burn

I'm in my Jag
time starts to lag
I light a fag
and take a drag
I'm such a stag
but there's a snag
she's on the rag
(carries her bag)

evening complete
we're out. We eat
It starts to sleet
she cries and greets
she leaves her seat
stamping her feet
don't feel so neat
she's on the street
I pay with sheets
feta complete?

I hate too much
I hate to touch
don't touch too much
it's much too much
to touch too much
not in a rush
but rush too much
I'm out of touch
too much to touch
I touch the clutch
a touch too much
the kerb I touch
foot slips off clutch
go right through bush
it's such a rush
I make a fuss
at front end crush
engines a mush
i'm such a lush
fumes are too much
leg will need crutch
stuck under clutch
no longer butch
grit teeth and such
I drank a touch
and ate too much
the car is stuck
down ditch “oh no!” (perhaps expressed in a vulgar way)
suddenly struck
i'm also stuck!
a passing truck
lights flash, I chuck
my stomach up
spit, cough, no luck
there goes the truck
I need to hook
my right shoe up
I dare not look
and then I pass out...

she visits me
in misery
my burnt body
has set me free
my shiny teeth
a canny reef
no longer grief
in her. relief.

but there's mud on her shoes?

she light's a fag
and takes a drag
she took the stag
with little snag
lighter and rag
within her bag
walked to my jag
no need to nag
I hate the …..

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
