150 Bottles Of Wine

Contributed by dirkj on Wednesday, 29th June 2011 @ 02:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Every bottle of wine
Changes color
As every tear I cry
Drips in it
Deeper and deeper

Every bottle of wine
Tells a story
Sunday nights
Drinking sessions
Alone with pictures
Of you in my mind

Every bottle of wine
Your seduction visible
If you look past the label
You can see my
Crying face
Clearly ….living inside the bottle

Every bottle of Wine
Filled with my fears
After you have left
Tears running down my cheeks
Washed away by Red Red wine
Everytime,,,I feel so weak
My dear

I have 150 empty bottles of wine
Spelling out your name
In my backyard
150 bottles of wine
Ready to tumble
Down and down
Bleeding hands
Pick up the pieces

I need 150 more

Firstly, if you had drunk 150 bottles of wine I'm sure you wouldn't have been able to come up with this.
Secondly, its a nice emotional write, which should inspire us all to write more.
I already have my pen in my hand, balanced between the fingers of course as i'm still typing !!

I agree a GREAT emotional write. Anytime my mind's eye can 'see' a picture of the words, I am entranced. And I saw you with bleeding hands spelling her name w/broken glass crawling across the yard! Great write!
