With our unhappy lives
We roll the dice
And dream of bigger stakes
To scheme and bribe
To hurt inside
Behind a smiling face
And death looks on and smiles
As we bet with borrowed time
He’s made a sound investment
In that graveyard’s bottom line
So cast your lots
And cross your fingers
To live is not a sin
But before I go
In case you didn’t know
The house, it always wins
