Who Am I, Canada Dry?

Contributed by Aspirant on Monday, 27th June 2011 @ 01:50:10 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Who am I, Canada Dry?
You fancy fellow, you.
Just what am I supposed to do?

You seem a fine, successful chap
You've got your head on straight,
I'd wager that you're healthy too--
Your skin shines like gold plate!

And really the tattoos are great!
Quite perplexingly ornate!
One-hundred seven years you are,
And lookin' good for one o' eight!

You have a lovely crest or badge,
Aglow in gold, with silver-green edge
Your face is my home, and well detailed
Latitude, longitude, marked and curtailed.

You're always natural, you never deceive,
You reflect me in four shades of green
I'm jealous, but it's hard to frown
When it's all topped off by that royal crown.

Canada Dry, where do I go from here?
If you're made from real ginger,
What am I made from?

Can't help but feel
I can't keep up
With the likes of you
You make me smile,
You make me full,
And never stop to stew.

I really enjoyed this write, you have a charismatic tone
which invites the reader to sit back, relax and enjoy
there is also depth here not perceived
by the naked eye, rather it grabs you from behind like retrospect
as long as you keep writing, people will keep reading,
it's always a pleasure

An Ode To Canada Dry. Gotta love it.
Musing and talking to a little bottle: that's poetic
A refreshing, well-written read, and I was visualising in all the detail.
Took me back to youthful days of Scotch and ice.
