The cold shoulder,
the blank stare
those pursed lips
and chilly glare;
the turned back
as you lean away
I guess there is no warmth today
that sharp tongue,
the crossed arms
unresponsive to my charms;
the harsh tone
and downward pout
I think that I've been frozen out
such callous words,
impatient moans!
scoffs and long-suffering groans
we had our moments in the sun;
I loved her then,
but now it's done.

That's one of the drawbacks of a relationship. Gotta take the good with the bad. A strong write. tfs |

Beautiful sunset for such a seemingly sad situation. There's a song about partin' called, Thank God 'n' Greyhound You're Gone. Maybe that's the kind of beautiful sunset ya painted. Regardless, beautifully written with yer Aussie wordsmithin' charms. Kudos |
