I Love You
Do not be hurt by my pain
For it is only my longing for your touch
Do not feel I will withdraw
For I need you oh so much
This time is difficult for both
Perhaps this is our test
Do not fear I'll leave
For in you my heart finds rest
But I am only human
And fear sometimes floods my soul
I try to imagine you gone
Tis then my heart loses control
Yet my heart is steadfast enough
To love you every day
To know our love is real
Whether you go or stay
Yes I get lonely
Battle my emotions and my fear
But always I have the comfort
Of the special love I hold near

this is my favorite line,
"For in you my heart finds rest" and this;

To love you every day
To know our love is real

| I read that you write romance very well and since I too lean towards the sappier side, I thought I would check it out. I must say this is a great poem, it speaks to all of us whom have loved through great distance. Thanks for sharing your talent, I look forward to reading more of your work. :-) |
