Amy Baker was an ordinary girl,no head of gold or locks of curls, never batted an eye lash to hypnotize the masses,or played the victim to get her way.Amy often sat alone observing the view, people in clusters,in pairs of two;shooting the breeze nothing of importance, feeling complete because they didn't stand alone. Many times she listened to people brag about where they've been, things that they've done and how many times they've blacked out while drinking. She never felt pity or disgust in the midst of this irrelevance, but she often pondered what the big deal was.Amy never spoke of things which were on here mind, because people always seemed to be angered,or become defensive.Amy wasn't one of those people who believed every thing she heard or saw for that matter, she understood that there where two sides two every story, and that if something seemed to good to be true, then it probably was. Amy was only 16 and a half, but when she was a little girl she learned to always question authority, she always demanded the truth. At the ripe old age of 4 she discovered there was no Santa clause, (of course in Finland there was) he was a made up character, and that there where no flying reindeer and he didn't come down the chimney. She discovered this fact because Satan sounded just like her father, who incidentally died that day, but still she knew. It disturbed her deeply that Christmas had nothing to do with Christ. Although Amy was only 4 going on five, she understood that if your own parents would lie to you, what's to stop the rest of the world? The last thought that crossed Amy’s mind as a group of people she was watching dispersed, was this; people don't really care if you deceive them,or if a conversation has no meaning, as long as they are entertained in the process, that’s all that matters.
