Ain't Mine

Contributed by Hannaskittles on Tuesday, 21st June 2011 @ 08:19:03 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

You told me you loved me
I fell for it everytime

Your sweet brown eyes
Were my demise

I was in love with you, darling

You held me in your arms
Said there was no other

You wanted to be my lover

I fell for every stupid word
Fell for every lie

We were at home alone
You asked me if I trusted you
"Of course I do, darling,
I'm in love with you"

You sweetly, gently loved me
Told me I was your first
Said we'd never be apart

You told me we'd get married, love

I fell for every thing you told me

I called you on the phone, barely holding back my tears

A month later

I told you of the news

Silence filled the other end of the phone

"Aint mine"

Click.

I know I can prove it

But it still hurts everytime

Because of every lie

This very sad but it happens every day. i'm sorry for your pain but some day you'll realize that u don't really need some one like that. You have a child and it's obvious he don't want any thing to do with it. I raised my three children alone with no help from their Dad. He's paying for it now but that's his pain. Hope and pray every thing works out for u and they child.
Hug, blessings, prayer,
emy
Oh yeah, great writing.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
