The children love fiction

Contributed by unorthodox on Monday, 20th June 2011 @ 02:42:37 PM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

The children love fiction,
it's like candy for their thoughts;
they can never get enough
the children love fiction,
it's like a vision for the blind;
on a missionless journey
the children love fiction,
it's like a river running deep beneath;
a city, somewhere between ruin and extinction

The children want fiction,
it's a wisdomless knowledge;
paralleled only by it's power to enslave
the children want fiction,
it's a prison of freedom;
where the inmates are free to dream
the children want fiction,
it's a sign of the times;
and where things are headed

The children need fiction,
to soften the blow;
of streets opposed by the puppets of tyranny
the children need fiction,
to fall into submission;
through blatent conditioning
without ever knowing that they have
the children need fiction,
to justify admission;
that ignorance truly is bliss

The message is clear as day here and it's such a shame that fantasy has replaced the grim reality...these people in power positions have become nothing but a punchline...your words carry so much wisdom and courage...a pure pleasure to read my friend

And I agree...the children (everyone) needs to wake up. This is a GREAT write as it gets us thinking...

The truth has now become the greatest lie while
The lie has become the greatest truth.
People accept what is easier to digest, because tell me
Who wants to believe they are being dummied down

Loved it as always

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
