Feelings,
You can’t taste, touch, hear, smell, or see them
They come when they choose
Tare apart your heart
then leave you the blues
How do you feel a feeling or do you just know?
How do you make a feeling come?
Or better make one go?
I cry myself to sleep at night
Wishing that I felt alright
Wishing you could taste the words
that I just can’t say
Wishing you could see the hurt
that I hide away
Wishing you could hear my heart
before it starts to die
Wishing you could touch my tears
before I have to cry
Wishing that you could smell my life
sinking
I cry myself to sleep at night wishing that I felt alright
Wishing there was never wishful thinking
