Men are complete anuses you claim,
that they’re all the same.
I hear you loud and clear,
but that’s where you’re wrong, my dear.
You tell me he still doesn’t treat you right,
yet you keep going back to him!
I won’t tell you to stop
because this is truly your decision.
I can’t express how stupid this is,
especially when the words you need to hear
come out of my mouth, and not his.
It just makes me want to kick him in the rear!
In spite of this, I’ll always be here to listen,
hoping and waiting for something newsworthy.
Needless to say, it’s not worth paying attention
to the same old story.

frustration nicely expressed. Men need a place, but women need a reason, as the saying goes. Take away the reason for staying with a joker, and magically, the terrain changes.

I also can relate to this, sometimes the known is less frightening then the unknown. |

Hi
Vive la difference! At least in poetry we can
express the inequalities in the sexes without
being accused of 'political incorrectness.'
Makes the world spin. If and when it stops
then we'll all step off.
Well written - like your style.
