After walking lonely, despairing miles of
engulfing, stray images of broken and
contorted road agents. After all, the
haunting battled cries and harrowing
rushes to arms, I spied a butterfly
resting on so much strewn death,
tossed and re-tossed by uncaring
individuals, and knew this:
We take the form of butterflies
after all is said and done.

This is very moving, observing life and its meaning in the context of death, strong imagery leading to a strong statement, leaving us with sobering feelings to ponder. |
