A hero's welcome for our patriotic boy,
Long gone are the days that a gun was just a toy,
For he has been fighting a war, serving his country so proud,
The only war paint he has on is a smile as he greets the waiting crowd,
His head his sunken, he drags his feet like the corpses of his foes,
Something is not right with our fighter and everybody knows,
The war may be over, the war may be won,
But the war taking place in his brain has just begun,
Silence is the loudest noise, as bullets whistle through his brain,
The silence is deafining, as he hears his fallen brother screaming his name,
The war is not over, the war is not won,
As our victorious soldier stares down the barrel of his own gun.
