“We hold these truths to be self evident,
that all men are created equal.”
“Beware of entangling alliances.”
“All persons held as slaves within rebellious states are, and henceforth, shall be free.”
“Ask not what your country can do for you,
ask what you can do for your country.”
“The American people need to know that
their President is not a crook. Well,
I’m not a crook.”
“The Eagle has landed.”
“That’s one small step for man,
one giant leap for mankind.”
“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”
“I didn’t like it, I didn’t inhale and
never tried it again.”
“I did not have sexual relations with
that woman, Miss Lewinsky.”
Can we still hear those voices today
and learn from what they have to say
to us?
