Petrified tears
Confirm dry realms beyond;
They remind of a song
Falling hard on my ears:
"Today, though nightmares take me,
I am proud of who I am.
Today, though all forsake me
I won't falter in my plan."
...something missing at the start
Framed like silence trapped in art
Screams to turn the wrongs around,
Mark them with a perfect sound.
I close my eyes so I won't see
I tell myself to just believe
But time to wait is at an end.
I witlessly reach out my hand.
Perfection is a child's dream,
But what I want is everything.
To scrape the thunder from the skies,
And shape it into lullabies.
Even in a deafened world
That feels the truth weigh rough and cold,
You can trust me.
Above the truth there floats a score
Where we might dream forevermore.

I really enjoyed this... the depth is captivating. It really got me to thinking. It is writes like these that remind me of who I am because I've always looked at things in life more intricately than that of many others... Very nicely written. I enjoyed it. :) |

Like the depth of thought and the poetic threads throughout esp like the second to last verse, good writing. |
