Bright lights on a dark night
guide me as I'm in flight.
Driving onward neon
soundtrack, cool as freon.
Heater's cozy comfort.
Onward, I run for it.
Yawning, I tap wheel.
Eyes roll, start to reel.
Window motors release
whistling, fresh'ning feast.
Miles idle by slowly,
cats eyes fleeting flowly.
Wagon's lit up like tron,
no grasp on horizon.
Preston, 49 miles.
Relief, look at dials.
Soon ends alien zone
junction. On my way home.

Liked this. Night-time driving can be a bit of an odd experience, can't it? |
