Memories of my cherished child
Created of love and play
Laughter, joy and merriment
bestowed only by your ways
I reveled in times shared
Thankful the joys every day
Ignorant of the time that came
when you took them all away
Time passes hurriedly as
toys placed away
Memories hold pleasure for some
To others dismay
The recollections you hold
Are so dissimilar to me
Of things that happened
How could this be?
Becoming aware you offspring of mien
That you rather it not be so
Pain so intense, agony abound
My broken heart knows no wear to go
