oops

Awake. I lie and stare
no need to try, or care
for these moments are rare
I indulge in time
I sniff, then clear my throat
no thoughts are there of note
floating as if a boat
sleep steeps away the grime
then slowly, surely, I return
a little problem starts to burn
I switch on, up, then leave my bed
re-programmed , renewed, there's no instead
each day I be, it's true.
A chance to start anew.
