I thought I knew what I wanted
Baby, when I said good-bye.
I just wouldn't listen then
Or give our love another try.
I had to find out for myself
What loneliness was all about
And I never missed your loving
'Til I ran out.
I forced it in my head
That it was greener on the other side.
I was so busy looking
I couldn't see wrong from right.
Now I know I was a fool
Cause Baby, I done you wrong
And I took your love for granted
took it for granted much too long.
Now Honey have a heart
And take this poor fool back.
I'm just no good without you
You're everything my heart lacks
Hold me in your arms
And do what only you can do
'Cause I don't wanna ramble
I only wanna be with you.
I never knew nights...
Could be so long.
I never knew days...
Could feel so wrong.
I never knew lonely...
'Till i walked out the door.
We had so much love...
But that love is no more.
