from the depths of my belly,
to bowels of my soul,
my brain's aching from the mental anguish that my heart can't sustain.
You said you would always love me,
and never bring me pain.
Foolish for me to think that your heart was true,
Foolish for me to think that ...
That it would last for ever.
Foolish fantasies of you and I entwined in romance,
where it would never die,
lying hopeless in love,
not a care in the world...
But, in an instant you took that from me.
No Love...
No touch of your hand against my face,
No warmth of your sweet embrace.
But, the foolish reality is...
Is that it there will never be A you and I,
No, til death do us die,
No, sorry, baby I made you cry,
No, let's give it another try...
Instead this hopeless pain and anguish,
Of sweet memories,
Where a scent, a laugh, a thought, a movie, a song...
Will only remind me,
When will it be my time to die...
Dark corners of my room confine me to a prison of freedom.
Foolish of me to think that you would follow me wherever
Foolish of me to think that you would say NEVER,
Foolish of me to think that it would last forever.
