The Scar
In every heart there is a scar,
A reminder of harder days.
A wound slow to heal,
A hurt that never went away.
Like all cuts it had to bleed,
To cleanse and to purify,
And to keep it nice and clean,
From any germ close by.
A scab will soon start to grow,
To protect the inner core.
And over time that little cut,
Will not be nearly as sore.
Then come one day soon,
Not in the distant far.
The scab will fall away,
Leaving you a scar.

I really liked the way you compared pain and sorrow...to something physical ...and they way you described both cycles...good job |
