My secret stage

Contributed by Soulsurfer on Monday, 2nd May 2011 @ 12:56:38 PM in AEST
Topic: Nostalgic

Words on a page
my secret stage
where fleeting feeling
and words concealing
coalesce...
to something more.

Memoirs of filth ridden bars
snap-shots of a beach
lit with stars
time, so fast
i try to grasp
but like water in my hands
elusive desert sands
nothing more.

An ocean above me
an ocean below
but no crushing weight
no pointless hate
just waves
and a breeze off-shore.

A poets soul
in a mind at war
tempted by wealth
and these drunken whores
lost souls...

Find me a path
that leads away
from endless concrete
this cold and gray
landscape
I have grown to hate

I loved that. I love poetry with a deeper message. A very beautiful piece in my eyes.

A great beginning to alot of soul searching, finding a place where mind and soul are at peace, self expression from driven creativity,a stage sought but a price to be paid.written with such depth leaves a legacy of melancholy and deep seated sadness.

ah yes
the visions and endless flows
that poets experience and try to capture,
well done........

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
