Three to six the far up to nine
I've tried to end myself before my time
My grave attempt
At make shift cyanide
Eleven then twelve I feel my mind slipping from me
Hoping that my act will make darkness all I see
The bottles empty now
And I don't know how
But I've unwillingly defied death that night
But I suppose that's alright,
For through every moment of sorrow
I know that there's always tomorrow

i love being the first to comment!
your poem is so dark in the beginning, and your use of numbers bring a sense of the esoteric.
what i love most is your last stanza--
beautifully rhythmical and, ultimately, hopeful. (and i love the play on words in your title!) |
