Insomnia is what they said
When I was lying in my bed
For in caskets we were meant to sleep
When will the whole world wake up?
Fast food to plunder all the time
Our thighs grow larger on a dime
And yet we’re always hungry
Where is the one who loves me?
For this oxygen was well conceived
In a world where we’re still fighting to breathe
Because much of what we will perceive
Is more than likely made up
Yet we were happier still in our dreams
Shiny rings, lust and makeup
For we’d suffocate without our things
When will the whole world wake up?
