You said that this was goodbye my darling
You said that you would be back someday
Oh, have the tides taken you from me?
Oh, my love you've been lost at sea
I made a deal with Davy Jones
To collect your bones and bring you home
I'll hold my breath as I dive the depths
Searching forever until my last breath
I can't give up until I find your resting place
I won't find peace until I see your face
Like an anchor I sink without a touch of grace
My lungs being clenched by Death's cold embrace
A chorus of corpses welcomes my stay
Beneath the waves for eternity they lay
Betwixt land and sky there's no night or day
No king of the ocean to whom I could pray
At the bottom she laid, confirming my fears
My lover rotted away by time's heartless gears
Her amaranthine beauty no longer in sight
But forever and always my heart will be thine
We raced to the surface, escaping your grave
But only a pile of bones was I able to save
Your heart is long gone, it's been lost to the tides
But I returned you home, my lover, my bride
The tide has come to take me back under
For a lifetime of servitude in Davy Jones' locker
Oh, darling, a deal was made to save your soul
I traded my own to bring you home
One last time.
