Spending to much time
thinking about
how things use to be...
in slow motion the visions flow
and I get lost
in how I use to feel,
There are so many things I would change
and now regrets are overwhelming
as I relive past happenings.
The moon is shinning bright
I have a smoke
and pour a another drink,
deep thoughts about my life
have me wondering
was I ever happy...
alone I sit and write
and the tears slowly fall
because of all these memories.

| I can relate so well to these feelings and you have captured it well in this piece. I am always thinking about memories and what ifs, but its my memories of my sisters that remind me to get up every morning and keep fighting through the pain. Thanks for sharing this. |
