Hearts Are Now Like Disneyland . . . Ben

Contributed by myheartsvoice on Sunday, 17th April 2011 @ 12:17:34 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Is it lonely where you are?
so dessolant and cold,
an antiquated novel who's
story goes untold.

Even mirrors laugh at you
each time you come to call,
bored to death with what
you do because you've done
it all.

Friends they come and then
they go yet never do they stay,
life is but a picture show where
only reruns play.

Tell me not of friendship i've
heard it all before, the mockery
of novelty and then there is no
more.

Perhaps it's just the day and age
excuses so superb, masters we
have all become in kicking to the
curb.

Clinging to illusions how quick
they fade away, hearts are now
like disneyland where grownups
go to play.

On a ride call friendship memories
we recall, then it ends and so do
friends who never were,
at all.

Ben

I agree, very sad.
Wow this totally different for your writing but you know that already.
What's going on with you?
Big huggs,
emy
Say hi to your wife.

Wow can feel the strength 0f feeling with which this was written, the message is loud clear and very identifiable,my fav verse is tell me not of friendship......powerful words from the heart, reflecting the pain and the incomprehension of struggling to understand human behaviour.

That poem was GENIUS. I loved it, and you are so very right. What is wrong with people and their loyalty now? People are what should matter... and yet most people work more on their hobbies than they do on their relationships.
