Walking down Mother Nature’s pathway
I gaze upon this winged wonder
Flickering, fluttering, suspended in midair
Carried by the breath of the wind
Chinese paper fan spreading inward, outward
Sun shines, glistens upon its velvet colors
Blue shaded mixed with black
Hovering over the flowers of its choice
Helicopter wings twirling round, round
Landing with ease, enjoying its nourishment
One’s eyes fixed upon this special species
Brings heightened enjoyment
Excitement to one’s soul
Fly, fly, my butterfly of beauty
One who transcends all boundaries of earth
We love, value all that you are.

Well done. This is a fine, highly descriptive poem. I love nature and I love this piece of writing very much. |
