Swaying, dancing, bowing
With the gust of the wind
Standing tall, soldiers in a line
Wavy, bending, athletic field
Waving to all who walk and gaze upon them
Soaking, growing, enjoying their water of life
Growing big, tall, looking proud
Confident who they are
Time for cutting, trimming,
Giving them their haircuts
Displaying in front lawns, backyards
Texture of bright shaded green
Some darker
Mindful of their care
Access sun dries them to a rubbish brown
Rain rejuvenates, brings life to them
Let them drink to their full!
We take you for granted.
We thank you.

This is the second poem of yours I have read today. This is truly memorable, full of fine imagery and gentle flowing lines. Very relaxing to read, thanks very much. |
