The Last Time

Contributed by crmnlilbruno on Wednesday, 13th April 2011 @ 07:12:24 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Taking a breath of fresh cool air
Steping outside in the spring
Riding a ride at the state fair
The beutiful things life can bring

Washing hands with water from the shore
Smelling the smoke from the fire
All the things life has in store
All the wishes and desires

Dancing in the arms of your true love
Sharing a drink of wine
Warm rain drops from the storm above
Memorizing your next line

As all good things they must come to an end
The last time you see blue skies
Sharing a story with a frind
The last time you close your eyes

You know, there are two ways to look at this.
One way is bittersweet! The better way to
think of this subject matter would be to realize
that our last memories here instantly turn to
first memories of the eternal kind! May all your
memories though be only happy ones!
Blessings,
Robert Edgar Burns (Rob)

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
