At 10:35 in the night

The fan whooshing
The repeated tap of the keyboard
Snores coming from the bedroom next door
But the silence remains.

My phone vibrates offensively.
A persistent ringing lingers in my ears.
These same words whispered to myself;
And the silence goes on.

My mind screams.
My heart stops.
My eyes close.
And true silence is finally heard.

At 10:35 in the night
At last I stop my voice.
Death seems like a safe road.
Death seems like the right choice.

Well it is 11:01 now and with writing like this I hope that the "voice" never "stops". Great work here.
