If you look me in the eye,
(The open window to the soul)
You'll have to pay my heart a toll
To open gates into my sky.
You'll see as plain as night into my
Heart, there is a hole as deep
As Hestia's hearth, and in my sleep
You'll see my dreams, as if a spy.
And in my mind, among the cries
For hope, you can almost feel
The great unknown confusion's steel
Curtain, creating, blocking lies.
To help yourself, you do it by
Helping others with herbs like thyme.
But is it such a grievous crime
To ask your own from other ties?
So once you sing the lullaby
Of trust, enter my yearning state
Of mind and soul. You'll see my fate
If once you look me in the eye.
