To Live Is To Die

Contributed by ElementZero on Wednesday, 6th April 2011 @ 12:35:56 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

It comes a day when your black become gray, when your sunflower blonde becomes sun-bleached.
It comes a day when your eyes, brown, filled with curiousity and wonder of the world around you, become a black, so dried out and tired of this place.
It comes a day when your sex appeal and your supple lips become purple and bruised.
But I love to think when we go, finally, we live again, forgotten about our past lives, start anew again.
I love to think my gray locks can become black again.
I love to think I can run across the beach again, my feet bare as the skin I had the first night.
And my last night.
I love to think that really, I never quite die.
But then....
I flatlined.

you might as well try your best at this life. If there's another then you might learn something useful in the mean-time

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
